Engine oil is a key component of your vehicle. If it’s working to keep the lubricating sections of the engine or keeping it cooled, the engine oil is the lifeline of your car. The oil helps the engine in numerous ways. It helps defend the engine by keeping it clean from sludge, which defends the engine’s operation. Oil lowers friction and wear, which can also enhance the fuel economy of your vehicle. Lastly, it lowers the heat in the engine and pushes it to other components of the engine.

Consistently testing the oil level can help keep the driver upkeep proper oil levels and help ensure oil health. To not touch hot engine parts, it is best to test the oil when the engine is cooled. Many dipsticks have lines to display if the oil level is low and should be topped off. Also when using the dipstick, you can look at the engine oil color. If the oil is smooth and a lighter color, it shouldn’t be changed. But, if the oil looks sludgy and dark, then it’s best to replace it.
You may have a leak if your dipstick regularly shows low oil levels. There are numerous ways to test for oil leakage, which is integral because a leak could cause damage to your vehicle’s engine. If there are dark puddles under your car, this is possibly a result of its oil pan leaking oil. Smoke from the engine or the smell of burning oil may also be an important indicator of an engine oil leak. Also, the engine overheating could be another result of an oil leak.
Learning when to replace your car’s oil is important to negate harm to the engine in your car. While some may recommend a short engine oil change interval from 3,000 to 5,000 miles, it’s recommended to have your oil replaced every 5,000-7,000 miles or six months, whichever happens first. If you’re unsure about when you should have an oil change you should reach out to our service department for more accurate information about your vehicle.

I was very disappointed that I was charged for this service as I thought it was the 2nd one that was supposed to be included with the purchase of my car! Apparently, they counted a 30 day fluid check one month after I took delivery as the first one! Very frustrating!
My experience with Lexus dealership was smooth and unbelievable. Thank you Syed for walking me through every step. You are great!
It is always good to have car serviced and the work needed is communicated before it is done. Matt Torres has been my service advisor for 8 years and always does a great job.
They wanted $686.53 to mount and balance 2 tires despite the fact that the $655.55 i paid for premium service included tire balance and rotation. Either way, that price to mount and balance 2 tires is criminal. They also qanted $790 for transmission service on my Lexus GX 460. I was a little turned off by the high price of service last time but now I'm convinced they are not only over charging but also recommending unnecessary services. Hiding this unethical behaviour behind "well those are dealership prices" doesn’t cut it for me. Won't be going there again
My visit today to the service department did not disappoint! Cody took great care of me, the work completed expeditiously, with everything done to my satisfaction.
