Consistently testing the oil level can help keep the driver upkeep proper oil levels and help ensure oil health. To not touch hot engine parts, it is best to test the oil when the engine is cooled. Many dipsticks have lines to display if the oil level is low and should be topped off. Also when using the dipstick, you can look at the engine oil color. If the oil is smooth and a lighter color, it shouldn’t be changed. But, if the oil looks sludgy and dark, then it’s best to replace it.
You may have a leak if your dipstick regularly shows low oil levels. There are numerous ways to test for oil leakage, which is integral because a leak could cause damage to your vehicle’s engine. If there are dark puddles under your car, this is possibly a result of its oil pan leaking oil. Smoke from the engine or the smell of burning oil may also be an important indicator of an engine oil leak. Also, the engine overheating could be another result of an oil leak.
Learning when to replace your car’s oil is important to negate harm to the engine in your car. While some may recommend a short engine oil change interval from 3,000 to 5,000 miles, it’s recommended to have your oil replaced every 5,000-7,000 miles or six months, whichever happens first. The service here is like going to a Kia dealership. I have had over two decades of luxury vehicles - mostly Audi and Cadillac. THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST DEALERSHIP YOU CAN GO TOO!
Let's start with the pull in. You pull in to this dim bull pen. NO WELCOME. Extremely outdated. Had to wait in car 10 min to be told where to pull up too. This is NOT the first time this has happened here. I am used to a service advisor greeting and giving me a plan.
Second - Don't expect a loaner like EVERY OTHER luxury dealer. You have to wait. TWO hours or get a ride. I have NEVER ONCE had an oil change or service at Audi and not gotten a loaner togo about my day.
Third - The OVER RUN - OUT DATED - waiting room. IT IS PACKED TO THE BRIM with people (because the dealership can't afford loaner cars). Relax while you wait at an outdated wooden desk. Do you want snacks??? Perfect - go ask an attendant who monitors snack consumption to make sure they don't give too much.
Fourth - Want Status of your car? Don't worry they will send you a link that never updates. It shows arrive the whole entire time.
I paid for Lexus extended service package but don't worry it BARELY COVERS ANYTHING!!!!!! Got a text with a ton of charges to the tune of about $1500 on top of the warranty. All of it is insane. I promise you go to any Sewell dealerships and you will understand how horrible this place is. NEVER AGAIN!
