About 20 years ago, the luxury sports sedan was relaunched with the launch of the Lexus IS. The top sports sedan title had been held by one German brand until the Lexus IS premiered. The immensely popular sports sedan is known around the world for its extraordinary driving performance. For performance-minded drivers, the allure of the 2021 Lexus IS comes from the rear-wheel driving capability and high horsepower of the F SPORT. It really is a calling card of the Lexus IS and we’ll get back to it in a moment, but first let’s talk about what else the Lexus IS can do. The standard engine is a 2.0L turbocharged inline 4-cylinder is paired with an 8 speed automatic transmission, that can create 241hp and 258 lb-ft of torque at its peak performance. And is able to get up to 30 miles per gallon on the highway. An optional engine is a 3.5L V6 that makes 260hp and 236 lb-ft of torque, it is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission and option for RWD or AWD. And in comparing the miles per gallon, the RWD comes out on top with 28 mpg and 26 mpg for the AWD. The F SPORT also comes standard with a 3.5L V6 but it is tuned to perfection to create 280 lb-ft of torque and 311hp. That means you can take off from 0-60 in just 5.6 seconds but still expect to get 24mpg on the highway. Mercy.
The brand-new 2021 Lexus IS may resemble the previous model to an extent, your eyes will certainly be drawn to the all-new wheel options, taillights, and headlights. The available triple-beam LED headlights will be sure to light up the street ahead, while the L-shaped blade-style lightbar sitting on the rear of the vehicle will be a pleasant sight for those left in your wake. 18-inch wheels will be standard on the IS, with the F SPORT getting 19-inch wheels for the first time. Climb inside and you will find a 10-way power drive seat (8-way passenger), an available power moonroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, push button start, and NuLuxe-trimmed seating.
The 2021 Lexus IS has been created to make your. An 8.0-inch touchscreen is now standard and has been moved 3-inches closer to the driver for easier access. An outstanding 10.3-inch touchscreen comes optional Mark Levinson Premium Surround Sound system. Some features also included with the 10.3-inch screen are Apple CarPlay©, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, WhatsApp, Google Maps, Navigation, Google Assistant, and more. The service here is like going to a Kia dealership. I have had over two decades of luxury vehicles - mostly Audi and Cadillac. THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST DEALERSHIP YOU CAN GO TOO!
Let's start with the pull in. You pull in to this dim bull pen. NO WELCOME. Extremely outdated. Had to wait in car 10 min to be told where to pull up too. This is NOT the first time this has happened here. I am used to a service advisor greeting and giving me a plan.
Second - Don't expect a loaner like EVERY OTHER luxury dealer. You have to wait. TWO hours or get a ride. I have NEVER ONCE had an oil change or service at Audi and not gotten a loaner togo about my day.
Third - The OVER RUN - OUT DATED - waiting room. IT IS PACKED TO THE BRIM with people (because the dealership can't afford loaner cars). Relax while you wait at an outdated wooden desk. Do you want snacks??? Perfect - go ask an attendant who monitors snack consumption to make sure they don't give too much.
Fourth - Want Status of your car? Don't worry they will send you a link that never updates. It shows arrive the whole entire time.
I paid for Lexus extended service package but don't worry it BARELY COVERS ANYTHING!!!!!! Got a text with a ton of charges to the tune of about $1500 on top of the warranty. All of it is insane. I promise you go to any Sewell dealerships and you will understand how horrible this place is. NEVER AGAIN!
