At Lexus, our motto is Experience Amazing. When you take into account our ever-growing history of safety innovations, you may ask yourself why we don’t update that motto to Experience Amazing Safety. That’s what you can expect in the new Lexus RX, which comes standard-equipped with the Lexus Safety System+ 2.0: a safety system which addresses some of the most common accident types: Frontal Collisions, Unintended Lane Departures and Accidents At Night.
A grill-mounted radar system and an forward-facing integrated camera are the heart of the Pre-Collision System in the new 2020 Lexus RX. This Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 feature is designed to help prevent or mitigate a frontal collision. The system is capable of detecting other vehicles, pedestrians, and bicyclists. The system also uses an audible and visual alert system to notify drivers something or someone may be in their path. It also utilizes Brake Assist to allow additional braking friction if necessary.
Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist is designed to keep you between the lines. This standard-equipped feature found on the new 2020 Lexus RX uses audio and visual alert cues to help drivers keep in their lane. Lane Departure Alert will also utilize steering wheel vibration, and if needed, will even make small corrective steering adjustments to help guide your vehicle within the right lane.
With the Intelligent High Beams on the 2020 Lexus RX, seeing clearly in the dark just got a whole lot easier. Not only do they allow you to see clearly, they also reduce glare for oncoming traffic. These Intelligent High Beams can automatically toggle back and forth between high and low beams.
